I apologize in advance. The first line stuck in my head and I just had to go with it. Sung to the tune of Elton John’s “Candle in the Wind.” Roll over the underlined lyrics for additional facts about Studio E Music or scroll down if you need a reminder of how the tune goes.
Verse 1:
Goodbye Studio E
You’ve had locations at three malls
And a bakery in Glouster
Where Kramers graced the walls
We were weekend warriors
And bands with dreams of fame
You rented Yorkville cabinets
And we played them at full gain
Chorus:
Every brand of keyboard, guitar and bass
Banjo, fiddle and mandolin
I always knew just where to turn to
When I broke a string
And did you know the owner?
His name was Tim
His credit ran out long before
The inventory did
Verse 2:
Relocation was tough
The toughest haul you ever made
That tornado forced your hand
From The Plains back to East State
It was quite a ride
When the wind tore off the roof
Nine people screamed and prayed
In a tiny practice room
Repeat Chorus
Verse 3:
Goodbye Studio E
You’ve had locations at three malls
And a bakery in Glouster
Where Kramers graced the walls
Goodbye Studio E
I hate to see you go
You gave this town so much more
More than they will ever know
Repeat Chorus

Sold. Thanks for looking.
I purchased the new Anthem Tru-Mic Acoustic Microphone/Piezo Pickup system direct from L.R. Baggs in September. The system was installed and then uninstalled about 6 weeks later by the same professional luthier. Great sound, but not what I was looking for. Everything is as new except for the double-stick tape and the clips for the cables. I’d bet Baggs would send you some of that free or cheap. The Anthem system sells new for $299. My price does not include shipping but shipping fee will be reasonable.
I like iTunes, but I see no use for Apple’s new music-based social network, Ping. In iTunes 10.1, little buttons with drop-down menus for Ping appear alongside any song you click. on There are currently no options for turning this off even if you don’t have a Ping account, but here’s a workaround. To get rid of the annoying Ping buttons enter the following commands in a Command Prompt window or the ‘Run’ dialog box.
For 32-bit version of Windows,
“C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt hide-ping-dropdown 1
“C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt show-store-link-arrows 1
“C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt disablePingSidebar 1
For 64-bit version of Windows:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt hide-ping-dropdown 1
“C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt show-store-link-arrows 1
“C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\iTunes.exe” /setPrefInt disablePingSidebar 1
Ping will still appear in the Library on the left-hand side of the UI but this will get rid of the buttons and dedicated Ping sidebar.
